Bill Back

President & Public Officer

Bill’s early agronomic experience was as a temperate pasture agronomist on the New England Tablelands. Since then, he enjoyed 10 years working for Auscott in both the Namoi and Murrumbidgee valleys. This focused on irrigated cotton production, but also summer and winter grain, pulse and oil seed crops.

In the last 12 months Bill has transferred to the Lachlan Valley and resides at Hillston. In addition to cotton, wheat, barley and canola production, he now oversees a developing almond orchid. Bill has always enjoyed the technical side to agronomy with his role allowing him the autonomy to specialise as an agronomic manager. He has a passion for farming systems and the practical application of agronomy.

Bill has completed a Bachelor of Agricultural Science, Rural Management (Hons) and a Graduate Certificate in Rural Science: Cotton Production.

Bill joined the Crop Consultants Australia Board in 2016.
