Cate Wild is an experienced agronomist with a long-standing commitment to Australian agriculture and the cotton industry. Cate works as an Agronomist with MCA’s Cotton Team and also serves as the MacIntyre Valley Regional Manager for Cotton Australia.

After completing a Diploma in Agricultural Science at Emerald Agricultural College and the Cotton Production Course through the University of New England, Cate built a career spanning decades in agricultural extension, crop production, and industry engagement. Since moving to Goondiwindi in 1997, Cate has established strong connections across the region while raising a family and contributing to the growth and sustainability of the local agricultural sector.

Cate brings extensive practical and industry knowledge, particularly in cotton production and agronomic management. In addition to professional roles, Cate has actively contributed to numerous committees and organisations, supporting both community sporting groups and the cotton industry.

With a passion for supporting growers and advancing best-practice agriculture, Cate offers a practical, industry-focused perspective and a strong commitment to the ongoing development of the crop consulting profession through service on the Crop Consultants Australia Board.
