Find out how to participate

Crop Consultants Australia coordinates the collation of Cotton Production Data each year on behalf of the cotton industry. Crop Consultants Australia members participate by providing agronomic data for each cotton season.

Your options to contribute Cotton Production Data.

Crop Consultants Australia has strict project guidelines in place for the supply, management and security of data. These guidelines outline how data is collected and managed to ensure the integrity of the data and protect the anonymity of consultants and their clients.

Crop Consultants Australia members can submit Cotton Production Data via the Agworld platform, or by using one of the Excel spreadsheet templates.

Crop Consultants Australia provides two options for submitting data.

  1. You can run your own custom CCA report in Agworld and forward the data download to us at the CCA office. Instructions for running the report in Agworld can be accessed here and you can view a short instructional video here.
  2. Excel Spreadsheet:
    1. Download template for SUMMARY dataset (use if providing data for combined product summaries)
    2. Download template for FULL dataset (use if providing more detailed treatment data)

CCA Cotton Production Data 2025 – What you need to know

The CCA Board offers incentives in appreciation for contributions of data. Survey rewards are outlined in the tables below. Contributors of Cotton Production Data and those who also complete the Cotton Consultants Survey receive a free CCA seminar registration and are also entered in the draw to win a $1,500 accommodation voucher.

Award eligibility is dependent upon the amount and type of data submitted.

In 2022 the scope of the Cotton Market Audit was expanded with a successful pilot program that was funded by Cotton Research and Development Corporation. The information collected is already assisting the cotton industry with setting research priorities and measuring the impact of current programs on practice change.

The Cotton Market Audit extended data collection will continue for the 2023/24 season. You can choose the categories of data you want to contribute, and you will be rewarded accordingly. The aim is to make the process flexible, simple, and convenient for you. You can find out more about providing extended data here.
